Principal's Welcome
Welcome to St. Michael - St. Clement School, where we honor our past and join together for our future! A $1.2 million dollar building renovation was completed in July 2017. Beginning with the 2017 - 18 school year, we have blended together the best of two wonderful and rich communities, steeped in faith and excitement for the future.
At St. Michael - St. Clement School, we are preparing students to be moral, ethical, faith-filled citizens who live in a diverse global and digital world. In order for our students to be successful learners they must learn how to positively collaborate with one another, creatively problem solve, and effectively utilize technology. Teachers encourage students to be active participants in their own learning. They often work together on project-based activities. Students utilize one-to-one web access through use of iPads or Chromebooks to access real world learning and apply problem solving skills. The addition of robotics, drones, and 3-D printers make learning relevant and meaningful.
Faith is the lens in which all learning takes place. Prayer, meditation, Mass, and monthly service learning opportunities are meaningfully woven throughout the day and Liturgical seasons. A religious theme is adopted each school year which provides a unified focus for the entire school community.
It is our mission to educate the whole child. Art, Music, Library, and Physical Education/Health classes round out the strong educational program. The dedicated teaching staff are Maryland State Certified and continue their own faith development. A School Counselor, Nurse, Title 1 Program, Student Advocacy Team, PBIS Program and Speech Teacher all provide additional student resources. After school clubs as well as extended athletic offerings are available to students at no or a very low cost.
